Author Michael Tabman was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan, NY. After serving as a police officer for three years with the Fairfax County VA police department he joined the FBI. Michael, A 24 year FBI veteran, investigated crimes ranging from white collar to bank robberies, organized crime, drug trafficking and money laundering. He rose through the ranks reaching the level of Special Agent in Charge. His professional travels took him to Israel, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. After retiring, Michael founded and still works at SPIRIT Asset Protection, LLC as a security and risk management consultant and public speaker.
Michael’s book Walking the Corporate Beat: Police School for Business People, is based upon his 27 years of law enforcement experience to draw amusing parallels between the police world, business world and everyday life decisions.
The author is a former teacher, and Director of Conference Services for a private Christian college. She belongs to Professional Women’s Fellowship, and serves on the board of the San Diego Christian Writer’s Guild and the board of her church. She’s the author of five books of Biblical Fiction, three other books of fiction and a book of poetry. She loves to share heart with women’s groups. She and her husband live in San Diego, CA.
Scientist, environmentalist and insatiably curious, Jean-Patrick Toussaint is the author of several scientific peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has written columns for a number of science popularization magazines in Québec, Canada. I Have a Ph.D. – Now Where’s My Job? is Toussaint’s first book, which brings an unadulterated and humoristic perspective to what the transition from postgraduate to post-Ph.D.-partum looks like from the inside. He lives in Ottawa with his Australian partner and their Haitian-Canadian-Australian and vegemite-lover son.
Jack Travers, a social studies teacher and longtime football coach at Boston College High School, lives in Lynn, Massachusetts along with his wife Janice and their two children, Gina and Joseph. Jack holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master in Arts and Teaching from Boston College and a J.D. from the New England School of Law. As a native of Greater Boston and a twenty eight veteran of the classroom, Jack is thoroughly familiar with the themes that permeate his young adult novel, Team Player.
